Another
Readathon! Yes! I've clearly got nothing but time.
This
is another week-long, read- as- many- as- you- can event, with a bit of a twist. It’s hosted by Ely at Tea and Titles and Val at the Innocent Smiley. The readathon goes from July 9th to July 16th.
Here's the Rub:
Here's the Rub:
Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you've
borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel
like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I'd pick a
few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think
you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven,
pick out ten.
Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a
Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you.
Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you
HAVE to read.
When the readathon comes along, you read the books in the order of
most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then
the one that got 7 and so on. If there's a tie, then it's your preference. The
goal is to read as many as possible.
Here
are the contenders, picked from my owned-books #TBR list. I'm planning to shoot for 5 books, starting with the most voted for. But I read 8 during Bout of Books, so I selected 10 for the vote. (Pics link to their Goodreads pages, in case you care.)
AND
here’s Johnny! I mean… the poll! Thanks for taking the time to vote! Use any criteria you want: direct knowledge, cover porn status, author love, whichever one makes your ear itch... your call!
What are you going to #MakeMeRead?

I judge books by their covers ALL THE TIME. I think it's, like, the second best way to judge a book! Thanks for voting!
DeleteI Crawl Through It is the only one I've read so far. It's pretty weird, but very good. I also voted for The Impossible Knife of Memory because I've heard great things about it. :)

DeleteVoted! Hope you love the books that make it to the top! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be joining this readathon, too! :)
