The Rules:
1. Answer the questions below
2. Credit the creator: Jamie @ A Little Slice of Jamie
3. Tag at least 5 people
4. Have fun!
I was looking for a blog post idea to do quickly for NaBloPoMo
and came across this tag on KourtniReads. A little copy and paste action later
and here we are! Gotta love the internet, yall!
Anyhoooo…. On to the questions.
Where do you typically write your blog posts?
At first I was like: “On my blog. Duh.” But I guess this means
location my ass is actually sitting in. I make most of my blog posts sitting in
my local library. I have a laptop at home but I actually prefer a full keyboard
and number pad and just the general functionality of a desk top.
How long does it generally take you to write a
book review?
I think about an hour to two hours depending on how many
pictures and background- looking – up I do.
When did you start your book blog?
I started blogging VERY inconsistently in 2008. See my first
pathetic post. Ridiculous. It’s been about a year and a half since I got really
serious. I celebrate October as my blogiversary.
What is the worst thing about having a book
blog in your opinion?
Hmm, maybe comparing my blog to those of people who manage their
full time. Mine is just a hobby so I try and keep that in mind.
What is the best thing about having a book
blog in your opinion?
Hmmmm…. I really like having the outlet to “talk” about the
books that I read, which also helps me remember things about books I really
like (mostly the ones that I review). I also love the book blogger community of
people on twitter.
What blog post have you had the most fun
writing so far?
I really liked two feature posts that I hope to make a regular
thing, Three on a Theme and Broadway to Books. Here are my favorite of these:
What is your favorite type of blog post to
write?
See the last question! But also the Outbox posts for the last
group of books I’ve read. Its cool to think about a mostly- unrelated set of
books at the same time. Here's the one for October.
When do you typically write?
Evening, between work and getting home. Did I mention I’m
usually at the library? J
Do you review every book you read?
I write something for every book on my Goodreads
update, but I don’t blog about each one. God no.
How do you write your book reviews? With a cup
of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?
Just straight up. In the library or at work. Shhhhh,
about that last part. I often have a cup of coffee with me but that’s just
basic probability.
When do you write your book reviews? Right
after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?
If I am going to review a book, I usually write the review
within the week. Otherwise, I’ve probably forgotten most of my thoughts about
it.
How
often do you post?
A few times a week at most. Everyday for November’s NaBloPoMo.
My
Nominations: Don't feel obligated, ladies!
